Manitoba Legislature Recognizes the Life and Legacy of Mel Myers
Myers LLP is honoured that the life and legacy of Mel Myers were recognized in the Manitoba Legislature by Minister Mike Moroz. In his statement, the Minister reflected on Mel’s distinguished career in labour law, his role as the first chair of the Manitoba Human Rights Commission, his commitment to legal education and mentorship, and his lasting contributions to working people and the legal profession in Manitoba.

In Memory of Mel Myers
Myers LLP mourns the passing of our firm’s namesake and retired partner, Mel Myers, on March 24th, 2026.
Mel was a veritable force within the legal profession and his immense contribution to Canadian labour law continues to serve the labour movement to this day.
We offer our most sincere condolences to his wife Sharon and family. We are honoured to continue to practice in his name and thereby uphold his legacy for generations to come.
