Matt received his Juris Doctor in 2023 from the Robson Hall Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba. Prior to attending law school, Matt received his Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology.
Matt joined Myers LLP in 2024 following his Call to the Bar and is practicing in the areas of Indigenous Legal Services and Employment Law. Prior to joining Myers LLP, Matt articled with Cochrane Saxberg LLP where he worked closely with several First Nations and Indigenous agencies throughout Manitoba.
Throughout his time at Robson Hall, Matt volunteered with the Legal Help Centre, the Main Street Project through Pro Bono Students Canada, and with the Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council Welcome Place where he provided assistance for refugee claimants in Manitoba. Matt was also an active member of the Robson Hall student community, serving as Co-Chair of the Professional Development Committee (2022-2023), in multiple roles on Robson Hall’s Environmental Law Group (2020-2023), and was the representative for the Manitoba Law Students Association on the University of Manitoba Students’ Union Board of Directors (2021-2022).
Outside of the office, Matt enjoys spending time in Lac du Bonnet, travelling, and playing/watching sports like hockey, ultimate frisbee and dodgeball.
