Maia is an Associate with Myers LLP practicing primarily in the areas of Indigenous Legal Services and Employment Law.
She joined the firm in 2023 as a summer student and returned to article in 2025 after graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba.
Before attending law school, Maia graduated with an Advanced Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba, majoring in Political Studies with a minor in French Language Studies.
During her time in law school, Maia received the Kenneth A. Filkow Q.C. Memorial Prize in Negotiations. Maia also participated in the Wilson Moot in English, and both the Canadian National Negotiation Competition and the Laskin Moot as a French language participant. Throughout her time in university, Maia volunteered with numerous groups promoting bilingualism and anti-racism advocacy.
In her spare time, Maia enjoys spending time with loved ones, travelling, and taking part in her favourite sports.
Maia is a French speaker but does not primarily practice in French.
